It is a sport that everyone should try because it challenges one’s mind and body and there is no feeling quite like riding Mother Nature’s gift to our shores — waves.’
Mr Johnston says surfing builds a foundation of fitness in all fields (endurance, strength, flexibility and co-ordination), and you can burn up to 600 calories in a one-hour surfing session.”
