Shoutout to The West for the write up!

The West Australian’s Brooke Evans-Butler has some rad ideas to kickstart your fitness campaign this spring, and surfing is one of them!

“Ever wanted to give surfing a try? ‘Surfing is a sport that is active, fun and a lot easier than you may think,’ says Tom “Bomber” Johnston, owner/ head surfing instructor of Go Surf Perth. ‘A morning surfing in the ocean can give you a sense of peace and purpose. It is a sport that everyone should try because it challenges one’s mind and body and there is no feeling quite like riding Mother Nature’s gift to our shores — waves.’

Mr Johnston says surfing builds a foundation of fitness in all fields (endurance, strength, flexibility and co-ordination), and you can burn up to 600 calories in a one-hour surfing session.”
